Landmark designation was key to preserving the many historic 1920's - 30's era mansions in the neighborhood covered by sheet 24
This was Addison Mizner's and Maurice Fatio's working playground
Several of the properties have changed hands recently with prices up towards 40 million dollars for lakefront properties
Mizner designed estates include:
The Venetian style Casa del Ensueños, 800 S. County Road, was built in 1923 and some of the structures are placed right up to the seawall giving it a real Venetian style grand canal look
El Solano, 720 South Ocean Boulevard, owned for a short period of time by John Lennon and Yoko Ono in the 1980's, was completed in 1919. The original owner being Mizner himself
Casa Nana just South of El Solano
Casa Ananda, as of writing owned by author James Patterson, rest just North of El Solano with which it actually abuts. The property extends into sheet 23

Palmeiral - originally went from the ocean to the lake but was divided at County Rd.
Casa Giravento - 115 Via La Selva
Casa Della Porta - 195 Via del Mar - built in 1928 with over 23,000 square feet of living space.

Southern boundary of this sheet is about a half mile north of Mar-a-Lago or less than a mile south of Worth Ave.

Casa del Ensueños
Is located on the William Wood Plankinton parcel
Mrs. Plankinton, the second owner of Casa del Ensueños, gave it its present name.
Designed by Addison Mizner and built in 1923

Addison Mizner designed Casa del Ensueños on the lakefront with three Maurice Fatio designed houses in the background, Casa Della Porta right, Casa Giravento center and Palmeiral left.

Palmeiral
Maurice Fatio designed Palmeiral was built on the Helen Marguerite Elizabeth Beaumont property. The property was later divided at S. County Rd. leaving the Fatio designed carriage house on the West side of County Rd.
